School's started...and I got into Photo2 with a little schedule rearranging =]
Our first project is still black & white film, however it's a free shoot. So I can do anything I want. I wanted to do portraits, because those were by far my best shots out of last year's stuff, and I really enjoy doing them. Problem is, my boyfriend is "not allowed to see me" outside of school, and is grounded because his mom is overprotective and uber high-strung, and my other friend who I normally have model for me, is on restriction with the car and has a date with her boyfriend sunday, so I'm kind of lacking on people to use for my portraits.

What else can I do that would carry the same affect? I originally wanted a dark hand on a white horse, sort of a close up (because my boyfriend is rather tan), but now that's not gonna work. Then I was gonna have my friend pose in a field, or dress her up and do some emotive portraits, but of course that's out of the question now too. I don't really have many other people who I can call on a whim and have come out to shoot with me and because it's still summer time and I live in the wonderfully arid Southern California, scenary is looking rather icky.
So--I'm at a loss. I have 25 frames to work with, and all of my assorted lenses to use (though in particular I love my 50mm).

I know I could do some close-ups on my horse, but besides that, what would be really eye-catching in black and white that doesn't involve people or pretty flowers? lol

Alright, so I went to Del Mar Wednesday--won 4/9 races, not bad. Almost made it 6/9, but lost literally by a nose. End of the day however I made $84 and pocketed $42 (always split half with my grandpa--I chose the horses, he places the bets). But yes, I'll say it was a rather fantastic time, and I got some randy pictures out of it, which I should have up within the next couple days :]

looks wise? i love his eyes, and his lips, and his hair is very tuggable. he also has a nice ass lol

I've got some San Fran pictures up from a roadtrip I took out to Sacramento. Went and checked out UC Davis, visisted San Francisco for a day, then drove down to San Louis Obispo and checked out the CSU there Overall, fun trip--still not deciding on a school yet though (but Davis was my favorite out of the two). Anywho, it's summer. I got a 3.89 cumulative GPA Got 5's on my AP Language Arts and US History exams (the highest scores you can get), and a 4 on my AP Psychology exam...Physics...well, Physics is Physics and the 1 was no surprise lmao. So in other words, I did really good this semester, much better than I thought I did. And because I got such high scores on my AP exams I can go back and have one of my semester grades raised for each class! Even better, I know. haha. So yeah, that's definitely good stuff.
Other than school, I've been to the beach a LOT. Also visited LA a couple times, need to take my camera one of these times and get some architectural shots or something. I haven't had the best luck with my car though...crashed once, had to get a whole new front end xP it broke down on me another time, needed to patch up a massive oil leak. Rear-ended a chick at a stoplight--smarty me, right? And then I let my friend drive in a parking lot. And he crashed it over a curb and a bush. lmao. Just call me Lucky.

BUT, besides the disasters I've been having with Harold (my car), things have been ok. I've got extra photos in waiting to load from random events and outings. Not promising anything spectacular, but they're new, so that's good yes? Speaking of which...^{I like critique}

Alright. So.
Life basically loves to consume me. And when it's not doing that, it's shunning me like the wannabe at a celebrity party. Shot down more than Brittany's "acceptance into normalcy/sanity".

Anywho. To say it simply. I am currently in a "let's crowd Madison with everything all at once" moment in life. Prom is coming up, and I'm going. With or without a date. AP tests are also quickly peddling this way (of which I have 4...3 I could pheasably pass). So is the end of the year.
I'm way behind in physics (still passing though thank god). And calculus I'm--passing. Barely.
I'm shooting more for class than for fun. Because I just don't have the time. I got my CDs back for loading, but not for editing. KT however is in Thailand for two weeks (and Joey [my best guyfriend] is in Texas for the same 2 weeks...LEAVING ME ALL ALONE!!) so I have access to her program as I am semi house sitting. Might be able to get some stuff loaded that way (seeing as I'm gonna try and get some of my negatives to CDs rather than scan them).
I haven't seen Zi in 3 weeks I'm an aweful mother.
I got a speeding ticket this morning. Fun.
I'm low on cash.
I need community service hours.
And many other things. Simply put: I'm busy as hell with no time to spare.
